Total Productive Maintenance
To survive in today’s ever changing business environment, you need to keep improving and reinventing your organisation and its processes. TPM is a world-class manufacturing technique or process that reduces the unit cost of production while increasing productivity, profitability, customer service delivery as well as product quality, fulfillment of promise and competitiveness. This can be achieved by eradicating the five major manufacturing losses, which are: breakdowns (unscheduled machine/equipment downtime), quality losses, set-up time, re-setting of processing parameters and speed of performance rate.  For more information see contact details...CPD Ref:  SAAMA00229

PAS 55 Boot Camp (Publically Available Specification)
PAS 55, produced by the UK Institute of Asset Management, was brought about by a common need for Industry to have a standardised approach to the care and management of physical assets.  It has had  a globally derived set of inputs and is clearly establishing itself as a cornerstone around which asset management programs are evaluated.  As with anything new there are many detractors and critics of PAS 55, but one has to recognise that fundamentally it is the only standard available for organisations where physical assets are a key or critical factor in achieving business success.CPD Ref: SAAMA00225
